Working with both Tier One and Tier Two transportation manufacturers, Omni adapts how we source and stock product to meet the needs of their constantly changing production schedules.  But we also create custom parts; we partnered with a locomotive manufacturer to create a unique component that is assembled by hand in our warehouse, improving efficiency and reducing errors at installation. The same high standards characterize our work with the aircraft wheel and brake industry, as well as the engine parts we craft for heavy duty earth movers used in mining applications. More commonly, you drive by some of our parts in the guard rails on highways around the country.

Products

  • Fasteners or hardware (nuts, bolts, screws, rivets, washers, studs, pins, collars, eyelets, collars), O-rings, gaskets, clamps, fabrication, hinges, identification labels and stickers, retaining rings, seals, shims, and springs
  • We offer metric and imperial products that meet standard specs such as ASTM, ANSI, DIN, ISO, and ASME
  • Ability to supply exotic ferrous and non-ferrous materials
  • Common materials supplied include carbon steel, alloy steel, aluminum, brass, copper, plastics, Hastalloy, Nema G, Nylon, stainless steel, Inconel, Monel and Titanium
  • We offer a variety of material surface finishes including barrel and rack electro platting (nickel, tin, copper, cadmium, zinc trivalent and hexavalent), chemical treatments (black oxide, passivation, phosphate, anodizing, wax/lube), electroless nickel, electropolish, mechanically deposited zinc and galvanizing, spray coating (Teflon, Geomet, Magni, Xylan, WS2) and hydrogen embrittlement relief
  • Other secondary processes we offer include heat treatment (induction, case, and through hardening), grinding (outer diameter, inner diameter, and Blanchard), thread rolling, and locking features (Nylon patch, pellet, and strip)
  • We partner with external labs for destructive (tensile, hardness, elongation, proof load) and nondestructive testing (magnetic particle)

Transportation Product Applications 

  • Bolts and Nuts: Heavy-duty bolts and nuts are used in the assembly of vehicles, including automotive, aerospace, marine, and rail applications. These include engine components, chassis, and structural elements.
  • Screws: Various types of screws are used in transportation applications, including self-tapping screws, machine screws, and wood screws for securing panels, interior components, and electrical systems.
  • Lock Washers: Lock washers help prevent loosening of fasteners due to vibration and shock loads in transportation equipment
  • Wheel Bolts and Studs: These are used to secure wheels to vehicles in automotive, trucking, and aerospace applications.
