A 12-point bolt, also known as a double-hex is a high-strength fastener designed for applications in the transportation industry, including engines, transmissions, and suspensions. 12-point bolts are also used in aerospace and the heavy equipment industry. They feature a 12-spline design with superior gripping surfaces versus hex head bolts.
