Military, Aerospace, and Defense

We work with military manufacturers and stock an extensive inventory of military-specific fasteners. We source key materials including titanium, Iconel, stainless steel, and aluminum fasteners designed for high-stress aerospace, naval, and ground applications.

Let Omni identify and source military parts for components that you use in critical fail-safe backup systems. Our 30+ years of experience in the military industry provide fasteners that are compliant with the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) for raw material sourcing, provide lot traceability, and ensure you have the correct and appropriate paperwork you need.

Solutions and Services

  • Ability to source standard and non-standard product from prototype to production volumes
  • Engagement with customers and engineers during new product introduction processes to advise most cost-effective solutions that meet their quality and safety need
  • Ability to supply items per-print or customer drawing’s specifications

Products

  • Fasteners and hardware including high-strength and corrosion-resistant nuts, bolts, screws, rivets, washers, studs, pins, collars, and more in a variety of materials including stainless steel, titanium, Inconel, and Monel
  • O-rings, gaskets, clamps, fabrication, hinges, identification labels and stickers, retaining rings, seals, shims, and springs
  • Metric and imperial products for the aviation and aerospace industry that meet United States Military specifications, MIL-SPEC and MIL-STD
  • Common standards and classifications we offer:
    • AS: Aerospace Standards including some MS specifications replaced by AS standards
    • AN: Army Navy specification series (from early 1940s until the 1950s to standardize military items for World War II)
    • MS: Military Standard which replaced the AN hardware series in the 1950s and lasted until the 1990s when the Secretary of Defense created new standards including NASM (replacing the MS series)
    • NAS: National Aerospace Standards known for high-strength, precision fasteners
  • Ability to supply exotic ferrous and non-ferrous materials
  • Common materials supplied include carbon steel, alloy steel, aluminum, brass, copper, plastics, Hastalloy, Nema G, Nylon, stainless steel, Inconel, Monel and Titanium
  • We offer a variety of material surface finishes including barrel and rack electro platting (nickel, tin, copper, cadmium, zinc trivalent and hexavalent), chemical treatments (black oxide, passivation, phosphate, anodizing, wax/lube), electroless nickel, electropolish, mechanically deposited zinc and galvanizing, spray coating (Teflon, Geomet, Magni, Xylan, WS2) and hydrogen embrittlement relief
  • Other secondary processes we offer include heat treatment (induction, case, and through hardening), grinding (outer diameter, inner diameter, and Blanchard), thread rolling, and locking features (Nylon patch, pellet, and strip)
  • We partner with external labs for destructive (tensile, hardness, elongation, proof load) and nondestructive testing (magnetic particle)

Military Product Applications

  • Aircraft-Grade Bolts and Screws: High-strength bolts and screws designed for use in critical aircraft components, such as engine mounts, landing gear, and structural elements.
  • Rivets: Solid rivets and blind rivets are used extensively in aerospace applications for joining aluminum and other materials. They provide a reliable, permanent connection.
  • Locknuts: Self-locking nuts and prevailing torque nuts are essential for securing fasteners in high-vibration environments.
  • Structural Blind Bolts: These are designed for joining structural components in aircraft, as well as in defense systems, providing strength and reliability.
  • Aircraft-Grade Washers: High-strength washers are used to distribute loads evenly and reduce the risk of stress or fatigue failures in aircraft components.
